A WARM WELCOME
We try to be available to welcome you when you arrive but realise that
after a long drive all you will want to do is sit down with a cup of tea or a beer. We will give you a quick description of
the garden, our fields and woodland, the local pubs and shops and when you want to know more we will be happy to give you
further detailed information.
PEACE AND QUIET
We live in a very peaceful part of the
world so just unwind and enjoy the quiet, listen to the stream and the birds. We are one of the few places where
you cannot hear a motorway or cars and you will only hear the occasional farm noises in the distance At night,
with very little light pollution, you will see stars you never knew existed.
YOU ARE
WELCOME TO JUST STAY ON THE FARM
If all you want to do is relax and wander around the 'farm'
then we are delighted for you to do so. We have a large 'natural' garden bordered by Rookery Brook with a shady
pergola hanging with grapes in the summer and a pond with seats beside it where you can sit in the sun to read
a book or just look at the view. You can walk through the paddocks to the stream or investigate the woodland or the bog which
is full or orchids in the summer. The cottage also has its own private garden area with table and chairs and barbeque
or you can take your drink out by the stream or pond. We have plenty of room for dogs to play and as we are well away
from the (very) minor road it is quite safe.
WOODLAND WALK
We have created a short woodland walk on the farm which we hope you will enjoy.
We have prepared a guide to take with you as you walk to help you identify trees and plants and see other interesting features
such as fox holes, woodpecker holes, dormouse nesting tubes and bat boxes.
